FabFitFun Fall 2019 Box

Okay, I’m not going to lie.

I was pretty damn excited when I finally pulled the trigger to buy a FabFitFun box because I have been eyeing it for years. I kid you not – legit for years.

I signed up on October 2nd after seeing a promo for 50% and my box arrived just before 2 weeks – not bad!

During the registration process, you create a profile based on your sizes, grooming habits and interests/preferences. If I recall correctly, I marked the following as high interests – skincare, fitness, aromatherapy, home decor, and a few other things. I rated hair care to the lowest.

So what did I get?

Each box comes with a FabFitFun “magazine” which basically lists what items were available this season and their retail cost, some beauty and lifestyle tips and a featured article. They also came with some coupons for food prep deliveries and discounted coupon to share with friends and family.

In this box, I received…

  • Anthropologie Travel Yoga Mat – $50 USD
  • Nassifmd Detox Pads – $45 USD
  • Better Skin Co Lava Magik – $32 USD
  • Afterspa Hair Towel Wrap – $18 USD
  • Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Roller Ball – $29 USD
  • Aveda Damage Ready Daily Hair – $30 USD
  • Harper and Ari Exfolicating Sugar Cubes in Juice Cleanse – $16 USD
  • Human and Kind Body Souffle – $18 USD

Out of the 8 full size items, I didn’t care for 2 which was the hair towel wrap and Aveda damage ready hair treatment. I guess that would make some decent stocking stuffers or office secret santa gift.

The total retail price for the box comes out to $238 USD or $315 CAD. Since I got the box half off, it was worth it. However, if I were to pay full price, my boxes would cost $80 CAD.

I’ve decided to continue to the Winter box to see if I want to continue with this subscription. I do enjoy the idea of getting random premium stuff for a low price but if I’m being honest, some of these things I wouldn’t buy if I saw them in store – even if they were discounted.

For any of those who are current subscribers, how do you feel about your seasonal boxes? Ex subscribes, why did you leave?

  1. Amazing post!! This sounds like such a cool box — love that it’s so personalized & you can choose what you want to see in the box. I’ve never bought a subscription box, but I really want to try it out one of these days! The concept is definitely so cool and it’s like getting a little present in the mail lol! x

  2. I’ve never really been interested in FFF because like you said, even if I saw these products on discount, I probably wouldn’t buy them. The prices they claim everything to be seems so inflated, too! You did get some fun things to try though– looking forward to seeing what you get innthe winter box!

    1. Omg, when I was reading some of the prices and products, I’m just like – why would anyone buy this for full price?! I’m exciting for the winter box as well but I’m most likely going to cancel after the winter box. After some time with the fall box, I just don’t think I can justify spending anymore money on FFF after the winter box. I have no idea what to do with some of these items aside from gifting them when an event comes up LOL

      1. Right? I can’t believe anyone would buy those things for full price lol. There are so many cheaper options that are the exact same quality of everything, y’know? It’s still fun getting a box of surprises though!!
