FabFitFun Winter 2019 Box

Following my disappointment on the FFF Fall 2019 box, my Winter 2019 box came a few days later. When I was customizing this box, I honestly was more excited about this box than the Fall box because I felt like the items in here are actually goodies for me that I can use and enjoy. The Fall box just had a lot of skincare/beauty items I don’t care too much about.

This season’s theme revolving around the box is in support of Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement. I believe some proceeds/profits goes towards the charity. The art on the box is also so so beautiful!

What did I get?

  • UnHide Lil’ Marshmallow Blanket – $65 USD
I opted for the blanket over some fluffy slippers because my little pup, Summer, adores all things soft and cozy. This pick was primarily for her and will act as her Christmas gift!
  • Paper Source 12 Month Rose Floral Planner – $27.95 USD
I’m not a paper planner person – believe me, I’ve tried to become one many times. I was going to save this as an office gift but Dan and I decided that it’ll best suit his mom’s as a Christmas gift.
  • Adore By Swarovski Organic Circle Bracelet In Rose Gold – $39 USD
When I saw this in the selection option, I selected it right away! It’s super adorable, cute and classy. It’s going to act as a Christmas gift for Dan’s mom as well.
  • MakeUp Eraser In Original Pink – $20 USD
Despite my previous post complaining about the skincare/beauty stuff, I’m a bit happy to have received this in the box. One of my goals is to create a more eco friendly/conscious lifestyle in 2020 and forward, so this make up eraser is a good start to getting rid of all the cotton pads I have for my make up. It claims to last up to 3-5 years.
  • Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub – $16.95 USD
I’m excited for this scrub! I like coffee 😛
  • Ban.Do Bluetooth Shower Speaker – $35.00 USD (actually $30 USD)
I purposely picked this shower speaker as well because I love listening to music when I shower, and I’ve been into podcasts so yes, I do plan on listening to bloody true crime cases, haha.
  • Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler – $23 USD
If you read my previous FFF review, you’ll know I don’t care to comment on these type of products, lol.
  • Cuccio Somatology CALM + CLEAN Epsom Salt Hand And Body Wash – $39.95
Ok, not sure why someone would pay $40 for this 8oz soap but whatever. I haven’t used it yet but will keep it until the bar of soap is done.

Total value? $261.85 USD which is about $345.35 CAD (my FFF box was approx. $83 CAD). Not bad, considering I enjoyed pretty much 80% of my box and got good use out of a lot of these products.

I ended up cancelling my subscription because at the end of the day, all these high quality goodies are nice to get but I don’t want to fork over nearly $90 every 4 months or so. FFF is definitely fun to try it out for a season or two, but not my cup of tea to continue with the subscription.

I am excited to try out Causebox sometime in 2020!

  1. Glad you liked this box of goodies better than last season’s! I totally agree that FFF is more fun for once or twice, not 4x a year. I would have loved to get the blankie & the freakin’ shower speaker! Heck yeah!

  2. Hi Claire! Thanks for the honest review of the FFF box. How awesome that they are supporting the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement. I received the FFF box as a gift last year, but also did not renew because I felt the same way- the items were nice and luxurious but with how much it cost and with what I actually ended up using it didn’t seem worth it (although I loved it while I had it gifted!!). Happy holidays to you, dear!
