I reached my 10th journal entries earlier this week!
I am finally starting to catch up on my 2018 scrapbooking and scrapped 6 pages! I really want to share some the pages since digital scrapbooking is one of my favourite hobbies but I’m just a little shy…
I got into Podcasts thanks to my friend, Kendel and I am planning to write a post about the channels I’m subscribed to.
I sent my 2018 Canadian taxes a few weeks ago so a whooping $4k tax return is to hit my bank account soon!
I’m still motivated to go to Grad school so I’d see if this motivation continues when I return home.
My haircut is on March 2nd and I am sooooo excited to finally fix my awkward hair blob.
I found a neat pair of ankle boots for only $25!
I am coming up on three months since deactivating my Facebook and Instagram (again) but this time around, it feels more permanent. I love how happy, confident and productive I’ve been since deactivating the two platforms.
I discovered aromatherapy from my colleagues at work recently and despite moving and saving money, I caved and purchased one for home. I’m so happy to stop by Winners first because they had an ideal one for only $50 with two 5ml oils!
I was extremely hesitant about purchasing a diffuser because I wasn’t sure if Dan would like it because when I was talking about it, he would say aromatherapy is a “scam” (lol). I burned lavender the first night we slept with it and he felt extremely calmed and fell asleep within seconds. The next morning, he said he woke up feeling more fresh than usual!
Speaking of aromatherapy… I ordered this starter kit oil set from Amazon and it’s set to arrive this Thursday!
Today is BC Day… which means it’s a bank holiday! I’m currently not a work and relaxing from an eventful weekend 🙂
Having a busy weekend means more posts to write about! I’ll be sharing the Powell Street Festival, Vancouver Pride Parade and a date night!
I also discovered a pretty cool app that stimulates an accurate late 90s film picture! I love, love, love film but it’s way too costly and it’s more convenient to shoot on the phone. Lately, my Instagram was popping with film pictures so I went into the Play Store and searched up film apps. I ended up loving Huji Cam so much, I paid for the premium version ($1.19 CAD).
Olivia, my colleague from work, and I ordered glass straws from Amazon on Wednesday and they arrived last Friday. I was working remotely so I couldn’t pick them up but I’m super excited to use them on Tuesday when I make my iced coffee!
In a strong effort to save money, I’m trying to drink coffee at work instead of buying daily iced lattes from Starbucks. Olivia taught me how to make iced coffee and the straw was the last thing to top off my morning drink!
I finally reached my two years old goal of donating blood earlier this month! I’ve been so keen on this goal for the longest time because I figured, hey, I’m healthy AF, so why not donate some blood to save someone?! In fact, one pint of blood saves four people. Donating blood is the sole reason why and how I got into the gym and weight training.
I did major damage to my wallet during Black Friday and 2.5 weeks later, I returned majority of it except for a $5 tee shirt and an in-home laser hair removal device. Needless to say, I’m very happy I didn’t fall for the all those sales. My co-worker did enabled me to purchase a big order and despite how nice the clothes were… they were still big on me for a size small.
Snow hit Vancouver for the first time in a few years and the city came to a halt. There was one day where I waited more than hour for public transit before calling in a snow day at work. Cars were stuck on the roads or barely even moving; it was horrible. I usually open the gym 1 to 2 times a week which requires me to be out the door at 4:15AM and drive down to work… well, this one particular Tuesday proved to be a hassle since it got stuck and didn’t even move one bit.
My degree came in! I officially graduated on November 16th.
I applied to a shit ton of new HR jobs (that I feel are more entry-level than the previous batch) and hoping to receive a call for the new year soon. There’s one company that is founded by a member of the gym and I usually book his tan in the mornings so I hope he reviews my resume and recognizes me, haha.
